ABOUT HIGHER DESIGN

Higher Design is a small architecture studio focused on crafting traditional, place-based residential architecture. We work across scales - from individual homes to thoughtful neighborhood infill - always with an emphasis on beauty, proportion, and enduring value. Whether designing a private residence or a small-scale Missing Middle development, our goal is to create buildings that feel like they’ve always belonged.

Rooted in the traditions of New Urbanism and classical design, our work draws from historic patterns while responding to modern needs. We collaborate closely with homeowners, developers, and communities to shape spaces that foster connection between people, streets, and the landscape. Every project is a quiet commitment to lasting architecture and better living.
